TurnoverNext May, five Hooksett Town Council seats should be up for grabs, the result of a recent change to the six voting districts and some anticipated resignations. In a typical year, only three seats, accounting for one third of the council, are up for election.

Variances granted to Wal-Mart/Lowe'sWith several concerned abutters on hand, the Hooksett Zoning Board of Adjustment recently approved a handful of variances requested by representatives from Wal-Mart and Lowe's, who jointly plan to construct new stores on 44 acres of an unused gravel pit off Route 3A.
