Wacky Olympics

The first annual Wacky Winter Olympics took place Saturday, Feb. 11 at Goffstown High School. The Olympics featured “wacky” competitions including a balloon-popping competition and a field hockey slalom. Here, members of the Maple Avenue team “Boyd’s Bears” race to the finish in Hand-to-Hand Hula Hoops, a competition that required each team to pass a hoop over the chain of team members without using their hands. Carbon monoxide close callBruce and Ann Frans have been living in their Goffstown home on Mast Road for more than 13 years. One day in early January, Ann decided to start pestering her husband to buy a carbon monoxide detector. Bruce installed the safety device on Jan. 13, and only two days later it went off as the couple prepared for bed.
